The Sunnyvale School District has been selected to participate in Digital Promise’s 2025-2026 AI Literacy League Learning Collaborative (LLC).

The Sunnyvale School District is specifically participating in the AI Literacy LLC to augment its efforts to effectively and responsibly utilize AI as a tool to enhance its students’ learning experiences.

“Sunnyvale School District is proud to join the League Learning Collaborative on AI literacy as part of our ongoing commitment to innovation and equity in education. Our participation in the AI LLC will augment the work of our newly formed Staff AI Task Force, helping to ensure that our students and educators are not only prepared to navigate the evolving AI landscape effectively and responsibly, but to lead in a world shaped by it. By aligning this work with our Portrait of a Learner and strategic goals, we are laying the foundation for learning environments that are both future-ready and deeply human-centered,” said Dr. Gudiel R. Crosthwaite, Superintendent, Sunnyvale School District.

Organized by Digital Promise and facilitated by current or former superintendents with extensive experience in these focus areas, the LLC will provide an interactive space for school district leaders to discuss and explore strategies for addressing shared problems of practice around AI.

“Education leaders regularly face new evolving challenges that directly impact teaching and learning,” said Tasia King, network learning experience designer at Digital Promise. “Continuous learning opportunities that directly address those big issues, like the learning opportunities offered through the LLCs, give district leaders the insights and tools to tackle those challenges and foster innovation throughout their districts.”

Over the next six months, the Sunnyvale School District will join other leading districts across the nation to explore challenges, share promising practices, and collaborate toward meaningful, common goals. This professional learning community will provide a supportive space to gain new ideas, receive accountability for implementation, and strengthen the impact of the network by fostering innovation and accelerating growth.

Through the LLC, the Sunnyvale School District can contribute to a national community of practice while bringing back tested strategies, leadership insights, and tangible outputs that can be applied to strengthen our schools and directly benefit our students and educators.
